New intake

Calm software for busy counters.

Proven in daily use

ConsignEngine grew from the working system behind Country Consignment—where real intake days, register lines, reconciliations, and consignor payouts shaped what the product needed to become.

One connected workflow

Every handoff stays attached.

An item should not disappear into a spreadsheet between the intake table, sales floor, register, and payout desk.

  1. 01

    Intake

Create the consignor, capture item details, and apply the store’s commission rules.

  2. 02

    Label

Generate barcodes and print individual or batch labels without re-entering item details.

  3. 03

    Sell

Scan items at the register, record payments, and keep each sale tied to the right consignor.

  4. 04

    Reconcile

Review the till, payments, returns, and store earnings with a clear audit trail.

  5. 05

    Pay

See what each consignor is owed, prepare payouts, and preserve the supporting history.

The complete store system

Built around the work, not the feature list.

One plan covers the daily operating loop. The complete feature guide documents 48 current capabilities and the optional settings owners can turn on when the store is ready.

Inventory intake & labels

Consignor-linked inventory, generated SKUs, barcode labels, expiration tracking, and spreadsheet import.

Point of sale

Scan-to-sell checkout, discounts, split tender records, gift cards, parked sales, returns, and receipts.

Consignor accounts

Profiles, contracts, commission rates, item history, balances, statements, and payout records in one place.

Store reconciliation

End-of-day reporting, till reconciliation, payment review, sales history, tax reporting, and CSV export.

Inventory follow-through

Aging and expiration views, price-adjustment history, returns to consignors, and status tracking from intake onward.

Rules that fit your store

Set commission, markdown, discount, tax, role, and workflow preferences without turning the product into a custom-code project.

Updates are included

New core features stay in the same plan.

ConsignEngine is a newer product under active development. When a capability joins the maintained core product, monthly and annual subscribers receive it without moving to another feature tier.

New settings apply forward where history matters. Earlier sales, agreements, receipts, and payouts keep the evidence that existed when the work happened.

Built with a real store

Country Consignment’s intake days, register handoffs, closing work, and payout questions continue to shape the product.

What stays separate

Card processing, equipment, external services, and separately scoped migration work are not hidden inside the software price.

Recent core additions

  • Future-sale return rules and original-payment safeguards
  • Configurable payment labels, liability checks, and till controls
  • Custom intake fields and versioned drop-off agreements
  • Receipt branding, staff roles, and store pricing rules

Why this product exists

Designed from the counter outward.

Country Consignment is the original operating store behind ConsignEngine. That means the product was shaped around the moments that matter in practice: fast intake, clean ownership history, explainable balances, reliable closing, and staff who need the answer without hunting for it.

Questions, answered

Before you open a trial.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The 14-day trial starts without a card. You can set up your store and use the core store plan before choosing monthly or annual billing.

Is ConsignEngine for Canadian and U.S. stores?

Yes. ConsignEngine supports independent stores in Canada and the United States, with CAD or USD billing, store-specific timezones, and configurable tax labels and rates.

Is this a limited trial version?

No. The trial uses the same core store plan as a paid store. Core operations are not split across feature tiers.

Do new core features cost extra?

No. When a capability becomes part of the maintained core store product, it is included in the same plan for monthly and annual subscribers. Equipment, external providers, and separately scoped migration work remain separate.

Can I bring over existing inventory?

A standard spreadsheet import is included. Complicated migrations from another system are reviewed first so scope, timing, and data quality are clear before anything is promised.

What happens after the trial?

Choose monthly or annual billing to keep the store active. If you do not subscribe, operational access pauses; the account is not silently converted into a paid plan.

Can store-specific workflows be changed?

Yes. ConsignEngine is designed around configurable store rules and optional capabilities, so differences in commission, markdowns, payouts, and staff workflows do not require a separate version of the product.

How do I add another location?

An owner requests an additional location from Billing. ConsignEngine support applies the exact subscription change, verifies the paid prorated invoice with Stripe, and unlocks the location only after Stripe validates the change.
