Four steps to a clear go-live plan.
Timing depends on your export, account setup, equipment, and the records you need to keep. Confirm those details before setting a launch date.

Review your current export.
Tell us which system you use and what you need to carry forward. We start with the available columns and a sample with customer details removed, then confirm whether the supported import fits.

Confirm the scope and consignor mapping.
Every inventory row must match a consignor already set up in ConsignEngine. Review those consignors and their current terms before importing; agree on any supported file cleanup before work begins.

Reconcile before committing.
The owner-enabled migration guide checks the CSV, preserves supplied control numbers and barcodes, and asks you to reconcile item counts and inventory value. Review the results before creating inventory.

Rehearse, then choose your go-live date.
Check labels, scanning, checkout, returns, consignor earnings, and the till with your team and exact equipment. Keep access to the old records and choose a cutover plan after the checks are complete.
What transfers today
A precise scope for your records.
- Active inventory
- Supported CSV rows mapped to existing consignors, using current contract terms and today’s intake date.
- Control numbers and barcodes
- Supplied SKU and barcode text is preserved, including leading zeroes, when the file passes validation.
- Opening consignor payables
- Not imported. Amounts already owed from the old system need a separate settlement and record-keeping plan.
- Store-credit balances
- Not imported. Resolve how existing credit will be honoured before switching.
- Historical transactions and intake dates
- Not imported. Retain the old system’s sales, tax, payout, and contract records for reference.
Financial-history and opening-balance imports are not offered as a paid add-on. If those are essential to your move, discuss the gap with us before choosing ConsignEngine.
